I've waited so long for the white iPhone 4 that I no longer care for an iPhone 4 and will simply wait for the iPhone 5. The delay in shipping the white iPhone 4 cost Apple a sale. It's not like my iPhone 3G stopped working when the iPhone 4 was released.

Our store is an authorized re-seller with Apple Specialist designation. Our cost for the product is far more than their sale price. TJ Max has done the same thing in the past with ipods, selling them far below our cost. I'd like to know from where they are purchasing their stock.

I was considering the white iPhone a few days ago and just got the black one, I actually don't know if I'd even switch (just a restocking fee to worry about) to the white iPhone now though because I really like the black one a lot (probably more than I expected). I might still get the white iPhone 6 when that comes around though because I still think the white one looks good. But really you can't go wrong either way, the iPhone looks awesome with either color way. I'm just hoping they stay close to the form factor of the iPhone 4 for the next few iterations, unless they manage to find a big redesign that tops it (which I'm sure they are more than capable of lol) :apple:

I have an Apple 24" LED. It is in warranty through Apple Care. The monitor has large black sections at the bottom of the screen and I want to have it replaced. Since the 24" LED is not made anymore, does Apple replace it with a refurbished 24" or do they repair the monitor?

I also work in a large engineering consulting firm that uses only Windows XP. I have been using my mac on my own for work for the last two years or so (Please no comments about using personal machines for work. I am aware). I would love to see some others be allowed to use Macs because I think they make sense for some jobs. It would not make sense for everyone to go to Macs because we have some windows-only software requirements.
I am interested to see what answers come. My major curiosity is how well the Macs integrate into an Active Directory domain. I don't want anyone in the company to be able to log into my personal machine, so I have not tried it yet.

It's not the Red Cross. It's the FDA. Last time the policy went up for review in 2006 or so, it was voted 7 against 6 to stay in place.
And for anyone wondering, the wording is something along the lines of "if you are a man who has had sexual contact with another man, even once, since 1977, or if you are a woman who has had sexual contact with a man who has had sexual contact with another man, even once, since 1997, you are prohibited from donating blood."
I think a basic level of intelligence indicates how wrong and prejudiced this is.

According to statistics, black men are more than 6 times more likely than white men to become infected with HIV, but you sure as hell dont see people supporting banning black people from donating blood. Why? Simply because it is more socially acceptable to be homophobic than it is to be racist.
Edit: I just wanted to make this clear: there is absolutely nothing wrong with asking for blood donations, regardless of who may or may not be present. Donating blood saves lives. There is a problematic policy in place in the US and other countries at the moment, but that never has and never will make asking for people to donate blood problematic in any way, shape, or form.

1TB Fiber Channel , 15K RPM SAS drives or SSD are much more expensive. You don't really use desktop harddrives in a SAN.

So there is/was a massive Solar Flare (http://www.cbc.ca/technology/story/2011/02/17/science-solar-flare-aurora.html) hitting us recently and at my parents house the lights started flickering around 6pm tonight (thursday, 02.17). Just now thought that that could have been because of this recent solar flare affecting the powergrid.

Despite the birth rate in the UK being around 2 (1.96 if I remember correctly) there are, sadly, plenty of children/babies in need of a good home. Recently, the law was changed to ensure homosexuals would be able to adopted children if they want. Lesbian couples could also ask for a donor, and gay couples for a surrogate.
We need to move beyond the idea that marriage is about a man and a women reproducing. Firstly, it isn't about that. Secondly, there is no reason same-sex couples can't raise just as many children as heterosexual couples.
